The Red Dog Inn is a dog friendly bed and breakfast providing travel lodging for you and your best four-legged friend in historic Beaufort, North Carolina. After all, doesn’t your dog deserve a vacation too?

Please read the following policy carefully and feel free to contact us at the inn if you have any questions or concerns.

We accept any sized dogs.

Dogs must be well socialized around people and other dogs.

All dogs must be on monthly flea preventive.

Please clip your dog's toenails prior to arrival. (We have hardwood floors)

Dogs must be fully housebroken.

Dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash at all times when outside of bedroom.

No dogs allowed in the kitchen or dining area. (health regulation)

Dogs must be crated any time they are left unattended by owner. Please bring a crate with you. I do have a couple of crates here if needed but you must let me know ahead of time.

Bring your dog’s food, bedding and toys.

Dogs must be up to date on immunizations. Bring a copy of shot record.

You must be willing to clean up after your dog inside and outside. I will provide clean-up bags for you to use outside. If your dog causes damage, you are fully responsible for repair or replacement.

If your dog sleeps in bed with you please use the doggy blanket provided to protect the bedding. The same goes for the furniture.

Dogs must be bathed after returning from the beach before coming back into the house. I will provide doggy towels and shampoo. If your dog is sensitive you might want to bring your own dog shampoo.

I can arrange for a dog sitter if you want to be away for the day. Reservations are required!!
